Project Description

Located in the shadow of Cat Bells fell in the Lake District, this three storey home provided the owners with staggering views across the Newlands Valley and the surrounding area.

Features

  • Located down a steep single track road, this one-off site required the use of tractors and trailers instead of our usual articulated lorries in order to get the panels on site.

Tech spec

  • Low-energy building

  • Walls constructed using 300mm Masonite ibeam, internally clad with Propassiv air and vapour tight board. Externally clad using 22mm Gutex Multiplex Top insulating wood fibre board. Walls filled with 300mm Isofloc cellulose insulation.

  • Roof constructed using 300mm timber ibeams, internally clad with Propassiv air and vapour tight board and externally clad using 22mm Gutex Multiplex Top insulating wood fibre board. The roof is filled with 300mm Isofloc cellulose insulation.
