This is our past project page, where you can find numerous examples of the Passivhaus, EnerPhit and energy efficient buildings that we've erected over the years. We're currently updating our project pages at the moment, so not all of the projects are interactive. This home was constructed inside of the steel uprights of a former barn, allowing the original barn walls to be added back on at a later date to meet planning regulations.

Oakdale, Osmotherly
Hidden up a small lane in the village of Osmotherly, this 2 storey home proved to be a tricky one to get to, but once on site it was smooth sailing.

Following on from the Garage dwelling we built for the clients in January 2022, we were back again to erect the main house. The top floor offers amazing views of Keswick and the surrounding fells.

Taking a break from the norm, we supplied this timber frame as a kit for a new river-side lodge near Eskdale.

This flat-roofed home with an insulated floor was built upon a foundation of pre-installed piles with steel supports.

Just a few miles outside of Stirling, in Scotland we erected this two storey home with a well designed open-plan living space on the bottom floor.

Firs Field, Darlingscott
Situated on a beautiful site just to the north of the Cotswolds this single storey family is built to Passivhaus standards and is currently awaiting certification.

High Gale Garage, Keswick
This garage with an upstairs living space was built to provide accomodation while the existing house was demolished and a new timber frame build was put in place.

Constructed in the grounds of a former quarry, this home featured an impressive roof construction made up of various oak & glulam beams.

Durley Chine Visitor Centre,
Bournemouth
Situated on the front of one of Bournemouth's stunning beaches, this build was commissioned by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council to act as an example of how to 'develop in harmony with the community and adapt continually to environmental change.'

This project was built up to a bank to allow a first-floor bridge to be put in place to connect the house with the upper garden.

This super energy efficient house is formed over a single storey situated on old farmstead near Tarporley in Cheshire.

Cartmel, Grange-Over-Sands
This project was another first for Eden Insulation where we built a new house on the end of the clients existing house to form a new end of terrace.

Ullswater
This new house replaced a very drafty energy inefficient 1950’s bungalow positioned on a beautiful site overlooking Ullswater and the Lake District fells.

This 1 & 1/2 storey Passivhaus house was constructed just 5 miles away from our home base in Appleby.

Kippen, Stirlingshire
In August of 2020 we travelled to Stirlingshire to erect this two storey home in the village of Kippen. Despite tough weather conditions, which saw one month's worth of rain fall in one day, we still able to complete the build to our high standards.

Following an unexpectedly difficult start to the year due to a world wide pandemic, it was a nice return to form for Eden Insulation as we completed this 1 & 1/2 storey home in the village of Culgaith in Cumbria

Perhaps one of Eden Insulation's trickiest builds to date, this one and a half story house really tested our logistical skills due to its remote location; nearly 8 hours away from our factory.

Built in the grounds of the clients' existing home, this two storey house was built to the Passivhaus principal, allowing for it to be certified in the future if the clients choose to.

Constructed on the outskirts of Harpenden, this flat roof two storey building was completed in 4 days and has gone on to reach Passiv-haus certification.
